Carberry Collegiate follows the “Beautiful Plains Code of Student Conduct” and this document directly aligns with their policy. This document includes the “Rights and Responsibilities” and “Rules and Consequences” for myself, my students, and their parents. Please review this document with your child. These rules will affect your child throughout the year. I am confident that with your support our students will enjoy a learning environment where the opportunities for success are abundant. When you review and reinforce these concepts at home, you are doing your part to increase your child’s overall success.

The rule is broken once: Mrs. Whyte will have a conference with the student. The child should be prompted as to what they will do in the future.
The rule is broken a 2nd time: There should be at least one of the following in place: time out of the classroom setting, detention, notice to parent, student writes a note to parent. A small conference with administration may take place.
The rule is broken a 3rd time: In school suspension
Specific Rules:
Swearing- If you are caught swearing in my classroom, the lab, or in the hallway you will be required to serve a 30 minute detention during lunch the following day. Until this detention is served, you will not be allowed back into my class and you will accumulate absences. 2nd offense–student will be sent to administration.
Late- When the bell rings, the door will be shut. Unless you have a late note from a parent or another teacher, you will not be allowed in class and will receive an absence. *You will get 1 warning. After that, the above policy comes into play.
Cell Phones: Cell phone are not permitted in the classroom. Student caught using a cell phone will have it taken away until the end of the day. If a second offence happens, the parents will be required to pick the phone up from the office.
